Data Library

This is a centralized, accessible, and living data library tailored to the needs of empirical researchers in animal welfare economics.

It includes an expansive list of datasets (U.S. and international) that can inform academic research on both domestic and wild animal welfare. For each dataset, we note the hosting institution, access link, a brief description of its relevance, key variables and topics, and the data format or structure. Datasets include well-known institutional sources (USDA, FAO, Eurostat) as well as smaller NGO or research-based datasets. We also highlight ways PhD students might leverage each dataset for dissertation research (even if indirectly related to welfare).
